Have you mastered the correct way to clean up your mouth guard?

During normal use, mouthguards can easily become contaminated with bacteria, including mold, bacteria, streptococci, and staphylococci. You know it's important to wear a sports mouthguard, but do you know the best way to take care of it? Here are some simple mouthguard care tips:

Sports mouthguards should be fully cleaned before and after use. ‌When cleaning, you can use toothpaste and a toothbrush to brush, especially the inside of the tray and the contact area with teeth, which are prone to residual bacteria and plaque and endanger oral health. Then rinse with soapy water. For the best results, you can also buy a cleaning solution specifically for sports mouthguards.

Avoid using corrosive cleaners, and do not disinfect with hot water, alcohol, sun exposure, etc., because these methods may damage the mouthguard material and affect the life and safety of the mouthguard.

Remember to replace your mouthguard every season.

After cleaning, it is best not to close the box until the mouthguard (and the box) are dry. When not in use, please store it in a perforated box, which can extend its life and prevent the mouthguard from being damaged or dirty with other items.
