Boxing headgear is an important safety equipment for protecting boxers from soft tissue damage during sparring or in amateur competition. Since the founding of Zhengtu Sports in 2007, we have been committed to producing high-quality equipment for Boxing, Karate, Taekwondo, and Mixed Martial Arts. No one knows our products better than ourselves, and we have the expertise to care for them.
Here's the caring steps for boxing headgear:
The first step is to remove dirt from the inside and outside of the headguard.
If there is no blood stain, you can simply use a deodorizing spray first, and then wipe away the dirt and debris with a towel. If there is a blood stain on the helmet, it is recommended to use disinfectant wipes to kill blood-borne bacteria.
After restoring the head guard to a sanitary state, the second step is to let it air dry naturally.
If you want it to air dry quickly, you can use a hair dryer but always remember to use it in cold air mode, not in hot air mode. Don't expose it directly to the sun. Excessive heat can cause your headgear to warp.
It is recommended not to do the following:
Soak your leather headgear in water or use a harsh cleaner.
Put your boxing headgear in the washing machine.
Regularly cleaning and maintaining your boxing helmet to keep it fresh, odor-free, and in top condition will not only ensure maximum comfort – after all, no one wants to train or compete with smelly headgear – but it will also extend its lifespan, saving you money in the long run.
